Quetzal is an Imprint Publications arts magazine run by University of Waterloo students for
students and the Kitchener-Waterloo community.
Our goal is to inspire and facilitate the sharing of all creativities on the UW campus – from
artwork, to poetry, to prose.
Quetzal was founded in 2014 by UW students Tyler Ranalli, Jennifer Shen, Ramona Leitao, and
Lenore Ramirez, with the gracious help of Imprint volunteers and staff.
Officially launching in 2016, the publication has seen many evolutions.
Quetzal continues to run out of the Imprint office, and is made possible through the hard work of
the student community on campus.
One day, we hope that Quetzal becomes a staple of University of Waterloo culture, providing
students a platform to share and engage with their creativities.
All submissions are welcome, and generally include photography, poetry, prose, short stories,
and visual art pieces, such as sketches, painting, digital graphics, or whatever else comes out of
a crafty imagination.
You can find us at SLC 0137, Imprint’s home since 2016.
